Create a paste from a generous amount of baking soda and a small amount of vinegar. You can also use a dab of white toothpaste, as this can be effective in removing stains.
Once you have the paste prepared, apply it directly onto stain being sure to rub it in gently and thoroughly. Allow the paste to sit for 10 minutes, this helps to loosen the marks and make it easier to remove.
Using a soft cloth or sponge, scrub the paste into the area to try and remove the stain. Repeat this process multiple times until all of the pencil marks are gone. Finally, rinse the area with water to remove any remaining residue.
If the above steps don’t work, you can also try using a rubber eraser or a wet cloth and white vinegar solution. Rub the eraser or cloth over stain until it is lifted.
In some cases, the pencil marks may be too stubborn and not be removable with the methods suggested. In this case, it is best to contact a professional cleaner who can advise on the best course of action.
