Method 1: Rubbing Alcohol

Rubbing alcohol is one of most commonly used techniques for removing pencil stains. Begin by using a white cloth to dab some rubbing alcohol onto the stain. Gently rub the area of the stain until material begins to loosen or lift. Be sure to not scrub too hard or you may damage the fabric.

Method 2: White Vinegar

White vinegar is another great option for removing pencil stains. Begin by creating a solution of one part white vinegar and two parts water. Dip a white cloth into the solution and dab stain until it begins to lift. Allow vinegar to sit for a few moments before blotting with a damp cloth.

Method 3: Sponge

If neither rubbing alcohol or white vinegar have been successful in removing the pencil stain, you can try using a sponge. Wet a sponge with warm water and gently rub the pencil stain until it starts to come off. Once the stain is gone, rinse the item of clothing with cold water.

Method 4: Shaving Cream

Shaving cream is a surprisingly effective cleaner when it comes to removing pencil stains. Squirt a generous amount of shaving cream onto the stain and let it sit for several hours. Next, simply rinse the shaving cream off with cold water and stain should come right off.

Method 5: Baking Soda

If all else fails, you can also try using baking soda to remove pencil stains. Create a paste by mixing one part baking soda and three parts water. Apply the paste to the stained area and allow it to sit for several minutes. Finally, rinse off the paste with cold water and the stain should come right off.
