Before you start cleaning your stained tie, be sure to gather up the necessary supplies. You’ll need an old toothbrush, white vinegar, baking soda, and a clean, dry cloth.
Using cloth, moisten stained area with white vinegar. Be sure to not over saturate the area as this could cause further damage to the fabric.
Once the stained area is damp, you can begin to scrub it with a generous amount of baking soda. Use the toothbrush to help scrub the stain away until it dissipates, moving in circular motions.
Once you’ve successfully removed the stain with baking soda, rinse off the area with cold water and let it air dry for a few minutes until the area is completely dry. Do not rub the area as this could lead to further damage.
