Steps to Remove Pencil Stains from Taffeta

  1. Place the stained part of taffeta fabric face down on a stack of paper towels.
  2. Soak the area surrounding the stain with rubbing alcohol and let it sit for 15 minutes.
  3. Mix a solution of half dry-cleaning fluid and half white vinegar in a bowl.
  4. Using a soft cloth, begin to gently rub solution into stained area in circular motions.
  5. Continue to rub until the stain begins to fade, then rinse the area with warm water.
  6. Finally, hang the taffeta fabric up to dry.
