What You Need
- Your stained sweatshirt
- Water
- Baking soda
- Dish soap
- A laundry detergent or pre-treatment solution
- Cotton swabs
Instructions
- Create a thick paste using baking soda, water and a bit of dish soap. Rub the paste onto stain.
- Let the paste sit on the stain for 15-20 minutes.
- Using a damp cloth, gently rub paste off of the fabric and rinse the area with cold water.
- If the stain remains, use a pre-treatment solution or a laundry detergent that contains enzymes to further break-up the stain.
- Rub the pre-treatment or detergent into the stain and let it sit for 5-10 minutes.
- Using a damp cloth, rub the pre-treatment or detergent off of the fabric and rinse area with cold water.
- Place the garment in the washing machine and let it go through a complete cycle. Check back after the cycle is finished to make sure the stain has been completely removed.
- If the stain persists, repeat steps 1-7 until the stain is gone.
