It can be annoying to have your favorite pair of Supergas looking less than perfect with unsightly pencil stains. But don’t despair – there are some easy methods you can use to remove the marks and get your sneakers looking brand new again.
White vinegar is a great natural cleaning agent as it helps to remove dirt and grime quickly. To remove pencil stains from your Supergas, mix equal parts white vinegar and baking soda to create a paste. Apply the paste to the stained area and let sit for 10 minutes. Then use a damp cloth to scrub area gently until the stain has been removed.
You can also make a detergent solution by mixing liquid laundry detergent with warm water. Apply the solution to the stained area and let sit for 5 minutes. Gently scrub the area with an old toothbrush to dislodge the pencil mark. Afterwards, rinse off the detergent solution with clean water and let shoes air dry.
If the above methods don’t do the trick, you can always use a commercial cleaner or stain remover to get the job done. There are a variety of cleaners available specifically formulated to tackle stubborn stains on fabric, leather and other materials. Just make sure to read product instructions carefully before using it on your Supergas.
Once you’ve gotten rid of pencil stains, you may want to take steps to prevent future staining. For instance, you can spray the Supergas with a protectant like Scotchgard to help repel dirt, oil and other substances. Additionally, it’s a good idea to avoid wearing your shoes in wet or muddy conditions as much as possible.
