Step 1: Gather Your Supplies

Before you begin cleaning your sunglasses, it's important to have right supplies on-hand. You'll need a microfiber cloth, white vinegar, baking soda, laundry detergent, and rubbing alcohol. If the stains are especially stubborn, you may also want to purchase a eyeglass lens cleaner.

Step 2: Create a Vinegar Solution

To create your vinegar solution, mix together one part white vinegar with one part warm water. This mixture should be enough for one cleaning session, so be sure to discard the solution after use.

Step 3: Wash Your Sunglasses

Using vinegar solution, dampen your microfiber cloth and wipe down both sides of your sunglasses. Be sure to pay extra attention to any areas with stained pencil marks. If the stains still remain, try making a paste using baking soda and water and rubbing that onto the stains before gently wiping away the residue.

Step 4: Rinse and Dry

After cleaning your lenses, rinse the glasses with lukewarm water to remove any remaining residue. Then, dry them thoroughly using a new, dry microfiber cloth. To finish off the cleaning process, you may want to apply a little rubbing alcohol to the lenses.
