Begin by taking a paper towel and blotting the stain gently. This helps to pick up as much of the pencil lead as possible.
Mix one teaspoon of mild liquid laundry detergent with two cups of lukewarm water. Dip a clean cloth in the solution and dab the spot several times.
Rinse the area with cool water to remove the cleaning solution and excess stain remnants.
Take a cotton ball and pour a small amount of rubbing alcohol onto it. Blot the stained area with the cotton ball until the stain slowly begins to disappear.
Carefully launder the garment according to the manufacturer’s instructions. If the stain is still visible after laundering, repeat steps 1 to 4 before laundering once more.
