Pencil stains on shoes can be quite embarrassing, especially if your shoes are made of a light colored fabric like Skechers. Thankfully, you can remove them with a few simple steps. Here's everything you need to know.
What You'll Need:
- Soft cloth
- Mild detergent
- Water
Step 1: Blot the Stain
The first step is to take a soft, clean cloth and blot stain as much as possible. This will help to absorb the excess graphite from the pencil. You want to be careful not to rub it in further!
Step 2: Create a Suds Solution
Next, mix a small amount of mild detergent with warm water. Create a suds solution, and then dip your cloth into soapy mixture. Gently scrub the stained area in circular motions. Be sure to rinse the cloth regularly as you scrub.
Step 3: Rinse and Repeat
Continue scrubbing the area and rinsing the cloth until the stain is removed. If the stain is particularly stubborn, you may need to repeat process a few times. Once stain is removed, use a clean cloth and some fresh, cool water to rinse away any soap residue.
Step 4: Allow to Air Dry
Once your Skechers are completely dry, you can put them back on and enjoy their new pencil-free look!
