What You'll Need:

  • Mild detergent
  • White vinegar
  • Cold water
  • Soft cloth

Step 1: Blot the Stain with Cold Water

Before attempting any stain removal method, it is important to blot the stained area with a cloth and cold water. This will help to remove some of the pencil marks, which should make the remaining steps easier.

Step 2: Apply Mild Detergent and White Vinegar

Once you have blotted the area with cold water, mix together a solution of mild detergent and white vinegar. Apply solution directly to the stained area and gently rub it in, taking care not to rub too hard as this could damage fabric.

Step 3: Rinse and Dry

Once you have applied detergent and vinegar mixture, rinse the area with cold water and dry the fabric with a soft cloth. This should remove most of the pencil stains.

Step 4: Repeat if Necessary

If the pencil stains still remain after the first attempt, simply repeat the above steps until the stains are removed.
