Using a clean, dry towel or rag, blot up as much of the stain as possible. Press firmly, but do not rub the fabric, as this will cause the stain to spread.
Mix together a paste of baking soda and water until it is about the consistency of toothpaste. You will need about two tablespoons of baking soda for every one tablespoon of water.
Using your fingertips, apply the paste to the stained area. Let it sit for 15 minutes to allow it to work its magic.
Once the paste has had time to work its way into stain, rinse it off with cold water. Make sure to blot up any excess water with a clean towel or rag.
If the stain is still visible, repeat steps 2 through 4 until the stain is completely gone.
