If you find yourself with a pencil-stained scarf, don’t panic! There are a few simple ways to get those pesky pencil marks off from your beloved scarves.

1. Rub with Eraser

The simplest way to get rid of pencil stains from your scarf is to grab an eraser and try to rub away the marks. If the marks are light and small, you may be able to remove them completely. However, if they are bigger, they may still be visible although less obvious.

2. Use White Vinegar

White vinegar is a great option for removing pencil stains from scarves. To use this method, mix together one part white vinegar with two parts water in a spray bottle. Spritz the scarf with solution and leave it to sit for 10 minutes before scrubbing gently with a soft cloth. Rinse afterward with cold water.

3. Try Detergent and Water

Mix together a gentle detergent and some lukewarm water in a bucket. Soak your scarf in the solution for 30 minutes and rinse afterward with cold water. You may have to repeat the procedure several times to get the desired results. Make sure to let the scarf air dry after each time.

Pencil stains don’t have to ruin your scarf. With a little bit of time and effort, you can get those pesky marks out and your scarf back to its former glory.
