Pencil marks are caused by graphite, which is the same material found in lead pencils. It transfers to rayon when you press too firmly with a pencil. This can occur when taking notes, notes, doing artwork, or even writing down measurements. If left untreated for long, the graphite can become embedded in the fibers of the fabric, which makes it difficult to remove.
There are several methods that can be used to remove pencil marks from rayon. You should always test these methods on a small inconspicuous area first to see if the fabric is colorfast.
The simplest way to prevent pencil stains on rayon is to avoid using pencils entirely. However, if you must use them, make sure you press lightly. Also, if you're taking measurements with a pencil, make sure to write them down on a separate piece of paper before transferring them to the fabric.
