Steps for Removing Pencil Stains from Polyester

  1. Mix 1 quart of water with 1 teaspoon of laundry detergent or mild dish soap in a bowl or bucket.
  2. Soak a lint-free white cloth in the soapy solution.
  3. Gently rub the pencil stain with the damp cloth.
  4. Rinse the cloth in clean water, then wring it out.
  5. Re-soak the cloth in the soapy solution, then use the cloth and a sponge to scrub the remaining stain.
