This method is great for cleaning stains out of washable pencil skirts. Follow the instructions on the detergent bottle, then pre-treat any stains with a bit of the detergent and rub in gently, then let it sit for a few minutes. For tougher stains, consider pretreating with a stain remover, making sure you check the clothing label first.
Mix one part vinegar, one part water and two parts baking soda to form a thick paste. Rub this paste into the stain then let it sit for around 15 minutes. Rinse off the paste and repeat if necessary, then let the pencil skirt air dry.
If you’re looking for a more natural method, mix together equal parts of lemon juice and salt. Use a cotton ball to dab the mixture onto the stain and let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes, then rinse off and let dry. If necessary, repeat until the stain is gone.
Now that you know how to clean your pencil skirt, you can help avoid future stains by doing things like treating it with a scotch guard or a similar protector. This will help create an invisible barrier between the fabric and liquids, giving you a bit more time to clean up any messes that might occur.
