Irish crochet is a beautiful needlework craft that is traditionally worked from a pencil-drawn chart of the design. While this method of creating intricate patterns is effective and enjoyable, it can also lead to messy pencil stains on your work. But don't worry – with the right supplies, you can remove these pesky stains with relative ease.

Before you begin, you'll need following items:
Once you have your supplies, you'll want to start by soaking the stained area with white vinegar. You can use a cotton swab or a soft cloth for this. Let the area soak for about 15 minutes before proceeding.
After the area has soaked, take a toothbrush and begin scrubbing pencil stain in circular motions. This step may require some elbow grease, but the result will be worth it – with enough scrubbing, the stain should eventually disappear.
Once stain is gone, rinse the area with clean water to remove any remaining vinegar residue and dry the work. Now your Irish crochet is looking as good as new!
