Pencil marks can get on just about anything, including hair ties. Fortunately, there are a few easy ways to remove those stains quickly and easily. Here's what you need to do:

1. Soak the Hair Tie

Start by soaking the hair tie in lukewarm water with a few drops of mild dishwashing liquid. Let it soak for 10-15 minutes, then rinse the hair tie with clean water.

2. Apply Rubbing Alcohol or Vinegar Solution

After soaking the hair tie, apply a solution of rubbing alcohol or vinegar to the stain. Let the solution sit for several minutes, then scrub the area with a soft cloth or toothbrush to loosen the pencil marks. Rinse hair tie with clean water when finished.

3. Use a Stain Remover

If the stain is still visible after using rubbing alcohol or vinegar, try a spot remover or cleaner. Spray or dab the cleaner directly onto the stain and allow it to sit for a few minutes. Then, gently rub cleaner into the area and rinse with clean water.

4. Wash Hair Tie

Finally, wash the hair tie in your washing machine with a small amount of laundry detergent. Make sure to use the delicate setting and cold water. If stain is still visible, repeat the previous steps before drying.

With these simple steps, you can easily remove pencil stains from your hair ties. Just remember to spot test any cleaners before applying to fabric, and always follow the package instructions carefully.
