The Right Materials and Tools

First, gather the materials and tools you need to do the job. These include:

  • A vacuum cleaner or soft brush
  • Clean white towels or cloths
  • Stain remover
  • Dishwashing liquid
  • Water

Vacuum and Brush Away Any Excess Graphite

The first step is to vacuum or brush away any excess graphite from the georgette fabric. The vacuum is the best option if you want to make sure that all graphite particles are removed, since it will pick up even the smallest particles. Use a soft brush if you don’t have a vacuum available.

Treat the Stain with a Stain Remover

Once you’ve removed any excess graphite, use a stain remover specifically designed for removing pencil stains. Apply the stain remover to the stained area and let it sit for 15-20 minutes, then rinse with cold water.

Apply Dishwashing Liquid and Rinse Again

Now it’s time to apply some dishwashing liquid to the stained area. Let the soap sit for five minutes, then rinse the fabric with cold water. This should help to remove any remaining stain. You can then use the towels or cloths to blot away any excess moisture.

Dry the Georgette Fabric

Once you’ve removed the stain and blotted away any excess water, hang the georgette fabric up to dry. Make sure to keep it away from direct sunlight, as this can damage the fabric. Once it’s completely dry, you can enjoy your georgette fabric stain-free.
