Pencil marks are stubborn, but fortunately they can be taken care of quickly. Before cleaning the stain, make sure to check the care label in your garment to confirm the best course of action.
If the cloth is made of synthetic fibers and the pencil marks are minor, an eraser could be the easiest way to remove it. Just be gentle and test it a small spot to make sure the eraser does not damage the material. Erasers with a built in kneaded rubber are the most effective for getting out pencil marks.
If erasing the pencil marks does not work, rubbing alcohol might be the solution you’re looking for. Start by pouring a teaspoon of rubbing alcohol onto a clean cloth, then gently apply it on the stained area. You should see the pencil marks start to fade away. Make sure to dab the stain, do not rub or scrub as that could damage the fabric.
Another effective way to remove pencil marks is with nail polish remover. Before using this method, however, check to see if your fabric is colorfast and that there are no indications against applying chemical solvents. If it is safe, apply a few drops of nail polish remover on the stained area, then gently dab until the pencil mark is gone. Be sure to rinse the area afterwards to remove any residue.
This is an effective way to remove stubborn pencil marks. Start by mixing one tablespoon of white vinegar with two tablespoons of water. Place the solution in a spray bottle and lightly mist the stained area. Take an old piece of cloth and place over the stained area, then iron on the lowest setting. Repeat this a few times until the pencil mark is gone.
Removing pencil stains from Forever 21 clothing does not need to be difficult. With these four easy steps you can get rid of those pesky marks in no time. Be sure to check the care label for instructions and test a small area first before attempting to clean the stain.
