- Mild liquid detergent
- Liquid laundry detergent
- Cotton swab or cotton pad
- Soft, lint-free cloth
- Sponge or soft toothbrush
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Gently brush away any excess pencil or graphite from the fabric.
- Mix 1 teaspoon of mild liquid detergent in one cup of lukewarm water.
- Moisten a cotton swab or cotton pad with the solution.
- Gently dab the pencil stain with the moistened cotton.
- Continue until all traces of the pencil stains are gone.
- Rinse with clean water.
- To remove any remaining residue, mix one tablespoon of liquid laundry detergent in one quart of lukewarm water.
- Dampen a soft, lint-free cloth with the solution.
- Blot area where the pencil mark was with the cloth.
- Rinse off detergent with clean water.
- Use a sponge or soft-bristled toothbrush to dry the area.
