Grab a white cloth or paper towel and start blotting the affected area of the fabric. Don’t rub or scrub, as this will spread the stain and make it harder to remove.
Mix one part detergent with two parts warm water. Dab the mixture directly onto the stained area using a sponge or a clean cloth. Gently rub in a circular motion and let the solution sit for 10-15 minutes.
Finally, rinse the stained area with cold water to remove the detergent solution. It’s important to use cold water to prevent the stain from setting in.
Once the area is rinsed, leave it to dry in a warm and ventilated area. Avoid drying it in direct sunlight, as this can cause fading.
To prevent pencil stains from appearing on your garments, make sure to schedule regular cleaning. If stains do occur, remember to treat them quickly to avoid them from setting into the fabric.
