Mix equal parts white vinegar and salt together in a bowl and stir it until the salt is completely dissolved. Dip a cotton swab into the mixture and then use it to dab the stain. Do not rub the swab over the stain as it could spread it.
Once stain is saturated with the vinegar-salt mixture, use a soft sponge to blot stain. This will help absorb the vinegar-salt mixture and some of the pencil stain.
After blotting the stain for a few minutes, rinse the coat with cold water and use a clean cloth to wipe off any excess moisture.
Once the stain has been rinsed and wiped, launder the coat according to the manufacturer’s directions, using regular laundry detergent. This should remove any remaining traces of the pencil stain.
