1. Use Dishwashing Detergent and Water

The first thing you should try is plain dishwashing detergent mixed with warm water. Apply just a bit of the detergent directly to the pencil stain, using your finger or a cloth. Rub the detergent into the stain using a gentle circular motion. Then, rinse the area with cold water.

2. Try Nail Polish Remover

Another method to try is using nail polish remover. Make sure to use a non-acetone variety. Soak a cotton ball in the remover and dab it onto the pencil stain. Let the cotton ball sit for a few minutes and then gently rub stain in a circular motion. Lastly, rinse the area with cold water.

3. To Remove Stubborn Stains, Use a Little Vinegar

If you’re still having trouble getting rid of the pencil stain, mix a little white vinegar with warm water and spritz it onto the stain. Let vinegar solution sit on the fabric for a few minutes and then gently rub the stain in a circular motion. Rinse off the area with cold water.

4. Be Sure to Take Care When Handling Chiffon Georgette

When working with delicate fabrics like chiffon georgette, it’s important to take extra care. Use caution when cleaning stains – rub lightly so you don’t damage the fabric. It’s also important not to use too much detergent or cleaning product, as this can leave a residue on the fabric.

5. Have the Fabric Dry Cleaned if All Else Fails

If all else fails, take the garment or item of fabric to be professionally dry-cleaned. This is the safest and most effective way to remove pencil stains from chiffon georgette.
