Rubbing alcohol is a great way to remove fresh pencil marks from business suits. Begin by blotting the stain with a clean cloth to absorb as much of the pencil mark as possible. Once the excess graphite is removed, dab stain with rubbing alcohol and use a clean cloth to rub away the remaining mark. Once the pencil mark is gone, wash the area with cool water to remove the rubbing alcohol.
For old or set-in pencil stains, use liquid detergent to help lift the stain. Mix a few drops of detergent with cool water, then dip an old toothbrush into the solution. Gently brush the stain in a circular motion until the stain starts to fade. Rinse the area afterwards with cool water and then allow the garment to air dry before repeating the process if needed.
Crayon remover can be used to remove stubborn pencil marks from your business suit. Begin by using a clean cloth to blot away any excess graphite. Then dip a cotton swab into crayon remover and apply it to stained area. Finally, rinse area with cool water once the stain is gone.
