Items Needed

  • Gentle liquid laundry detergent
  • White vinegar
  • Soft cloth
  • Water

Instructions

Begin by gently dabbing at the stain with a soft cloth soaked in warm water. This will help to loosen any remaining particles that may be stuck to fabric.

Mix together a solution of gentle liquid laundry detergent and white vinegar, in a ratio of 1 teaspoon of detergent to 2 teaspoons of white vinegar. Dip the cloth into this solution and dab at the stain again, using gentle pressure.

Allow area to dry, then inspect the stain. If it has not been removed, repeat the steps above.

Once the stain is gone, wash the fabric according to instructions on the label. Hang to dry, or tumble dry on a low heat setting.

Tips

  • Use a mild, bleach-free detergent for best results.
  • Do not leave the stain for too long before treating it. The longer it is left, harder it will be to remove.
  • If possible, rinse the fabric in lukewarm water as soon as possible after stain has occurred.
