To start cleaning your Battenberg lace, you'll need a few items:
Before you begin trying to scrub the stain, pre-soak Battenberg lace in a sink filled with warm water and a few drops of gentle detergent. Let soak for 10 minutes.
Once the Battenberg lace has soaked, gently rub the stained area of the fabric with a soft cloth. Don't use too much pressure or you may damage the lace. Repeat if necessary.
Rinse the Battenberg lace in warm water and a little more detergent if there are still traces of pencil residue. Dry the fabric with a towel, being careful not to tug or pull on the delicate fibers.
Your Battenberg lace should now be free of pencil stains and looking as good as new! Enjoy wearing or displaying your clean fabric piece.
