The first step is to gather up supplies that you need. You'll need a few items to help ensure successful stain removal - rubbing alcohol, paper towels or a clean cloth, and a gentle cleaning solution such as dish soap.
Before you start cleaning your wallet, it's important to test the cleaning solution on an inconspicuous spot. This will help you make sure that the cleaner won't damage the fabric of your wallet.
Once you've tested the cleaner and are confident it won't harm the fabric, it's time to apply it to the stain. First, use a paper towel or a clean cloth to blot the stain. Don't rub – this can drive the paint further into fabric and make the stain worse. Next, gently dab the cleaning solution onto the stain using a paper towel or a clean cloth and let it sit for a few minutes.
When the cleaning solution has had a few minutes to work, rinse the wallet with cool water. Be sure to use a gentle stream of water, as too much pressure can damage fabric. And make sure to use cool water - hot water might cause the paint to set more firmly into the fabric. After rinsing, gently pat the wallet dry with a clean cloth or paper towel to remove any remaining moisture.
If the stain isn't completely gone after the first treatment, you can try again. Just repeat steps three and four until stain is completely gone.
