What You'll Need
- Non-bleach laundry detergent
- Soft-bristled brush
- Cloths
- Water
Instructions
- Test the detergent on the umbrella fabric in an inconspicuous area to ensure there won't be any discoloration when using it to remove the stain.
- Mix a small amount of non-bleach laundry detergent with warm water.
- Using a soft-bristled brush, gently scrub the painted area until stain begins to lift.
- Dampen a cloth with warm water and use it to rinse off soapy mixture and any remaining paint residue.
- Pat area dry with a separate cloth.
If you want to prevent paint stains from happening again, make sure to put a drop cloth or old sheet beneath the umbrella whenever painting is going on nearby.
