Before you begin cleaning, gather the right supplies. You'll need warm water, a bucket, liquid detergent, white vinegar, a sponge or cloth, and a rubbing alcohol-based cleaner.
Fill the bucket with warm water. Then add liquid detergent and mix it together. The amount of detergent will depend on the size of the bucket. Make sure to read the instructions provided on detergent packaging.
Once the bucket is filled, soak the stained area of the fabric in the solution for about 30 minutes. This will help loosen and remove paint. After 30 minutes, take the fabric out and check the stain. If the paint is still visible, let the fabric sit in solution for an additional 15 minutes.
In a separate bowl, mix equal parts white vinegar and a rubbing alcohol-based cleaner. Then apply this mixture to the stained area in a circular motion. Allow solution to sit for about 5 minutes before rinsing with warm water.
After rinsing the solution off, gently blot the area with a cloth or sponge to remove any remaining residue. Then hang the fabric outside to air-dry. Make sure it's in a shaded area so that the sun doesn't cause any further damage.
