Things You'll Need:

  • White vinegar
  • Borax
  • Palm sander
  • White cloth
  • Laundry detergent

Removing the Paint Stain

  1. Start by using a white cloth and white vinegar to blot the stain. The vinegar works to dissolve the paint, making it easier to remove.
  2. Scrubbing stain using borax will help to lift it from fabric.
  3. If the stain is particularly stubborn, a palm sander can be used to gently sand away at the stain.
  4. Once you’ve removed as much of stain as possible, you can put the shirt in the washing machine with a laundry detergent.

Tips

  • It’s important to act quickly when dealing with paint stains; the longer the paint sits on the fabric, the harder it will be to remove.
  • When scrubbing the stain, make sure to only use a circular motion to avoid damaging the fabric.
  • For best results, use a cold wash cycle when washing the t-shirt.
