Supplies You'll Need
- White vinegar
- Dish soap
- Borax
- Sponge
Cleaning the Stain
- Blot the stained area with a clean cloth until it’s as dry as possible.
- Mix equal parts white vinegar and dish soap in a bowl.
- Dip a sponge in the solution and dab at the stain.
- Rinse the area with cold water to help dilute the paint.
- If stains persist, mix a paste of borax and warm water, then apply to the affected area and let sit for 15 minutes.
- Rinse and repeat as needed.
Drying the Shirt
- Lay t-shirt on a flat surface and allow it to air dry.
- Alternatively, hang it on a clothes line or place it in the dryer using a low, cool setting.
Tips for Prevention
- Always use dye-based paints and fabric markers.
- Wear protective clothing like an apron when handling paint.
- Wash painted items as soon as possible.
