Materials Needed

  • Soft cloth
  • Mild detergent
  • Water
  • Cotton swab
  • Isopropyl alcohol

Step 1: Blot the Stain

As soon as you notice stain, take a clean, soft cloth and gently blot at the paint to remove as much of it as possible. Be sure to not rub the area, as this can cause paint to spread.

Step 2: Create a Solution

Mix together some mild detergent with water to create a soapy solution. Dip the cloth into the solution, wring it out until only damp, and then gently dab at the paint stain. Do not scrub or rub stain, as this can cause the paint to spread further.

Step 3: Rinse with Water

Once you have removed as much of the paint stain as possible, use a damp cloth to rinse the affected area with just water. This will help remove any soap residue.

Step 4: Use Isopropyl Alcohol

If the stain persists after you've completed the previous steps, dip a cotton swab into some isopropyl alcohol. Dab gently at the stain until it has been removed.
