  • Dish detergent
  • Borax
  • Mild laundry detergent

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Gently scrape off the excess paint with an old toothbrush.
  2. Mix one tablespoon of dish detergent with two cups of warm water in a bowl. Dip another old toothbrush into it and start scrubbing the stain on the trunks.
  3. Create a mixture of one cup of borax and two cups of warm water. Get another toothbrush and use it to scrub the affected area; keep scrubbing until the paint starts coming off.
  4. Create a mixture of half a teaspoon of a mild laundry detergent with one cup warm water. Rub the stained area with the wet mixture. Let it sit for five minutes.
  5. Rinse trunks with cold water. The paint should come off easily.
  6. If the stain is stubborn and still won’t come off, apply a mix of white vinegar and water on the affected area and let it stay for five minutes. Wet a toothbrush with solution and scrub the stain. When you’re done, rinse trunks with cold water.
