Start by scraping away as much of the paint as you can with a dull knife or other scraping tool. You want to be careful not to spread or damage fabric while you’re doing this. Once you’ve removed as much of paint as possible, you can move on to step 2.
WD-40 is known for being an effective paint remover, so it makes sense to use it to help get rid of paint stains from your sweatpants. Simply spray the stain with WD-40 and let it soak for 10-15 minutes. After that, wipe it off with a cloth and check to see if any of the stain remains.
If the stain is still visible, you can cover it with baking soda. Make sure to completely cover the stain in baking soda and then spray it with water until it’s fully saturated. Let the baking soda sit for at least 10 minutes before wiping it off with a cloth. The baking soda should help remove the remaining paint stain.
Once you’ve followed the previous steps, you can put the sweatpants in the washing machine and use detergent to finish getting rid of the paint stain. It’s always best to use a gentle cycle, and you may need to do a few washes before the stain is completely gone. Once the wash is done, paint stain should be gone.
As you can see, removing paint stains from sweatpants isn’t as difficult as it might seem. All you need to do is scrape away as much of the paint as possible, soak stain in WD-40, cover it with baking soda, and then wash the sweatpants. With a little bit of effort, you can get your sweatpants looking good as new.
