Use a mild detergent or pre-treater solution specifically made for fabrics. Apply a small amount of the detergent to stained area and let sit for 10 minutes. This will help loosen the stain and break it down so it’s easier to remove.
Once the pre-treater has had time to soak into the fabric, use a damp cloth to blot the stain. Work from the outside edges inwards to avoid spreading the stain further. Be sure not to rub the fabric too vigorously, as this can cause further damage.
Now that the majority of the stain has been removed, use a specialized silk cleaning solution to help get out any stubborn residue. Apply the solution to a damp cloth and gently dab at the stain until it is no longer visible. Avoid using too much, as this could cause discoloration. Allow garment to air dry after cleaning.
Once garment is completely dry, check for any remaining paint stains. If needed, repeat process until all the stains are gone. Make sure to be gentle and avoid rubbing the fabric too harshly.
