The first step is to blot the stained area with a damp cloth or sponge. Use warm water and press gently on stain to soak up as much of the paint as possible. Do not rub the area, as this may cause stain to spread.
After blotting the area, take a gentle soap and rub it directly into the stain. Again, do not rub too hard, as this could damage the fabric of the silk faille. Let the soapy solution sit on the stained area for 10 minutes or so before rinsing it off with cold water.
If the stain is still there after rinsing soap off, a special stain remover can help. Find one specifically designed for removing paint from fabrics and apply it directly to the stained area according to the instructions on the package. Let the stain remover sit on the fabric for at least 15 minutes before rinsing it off with cold water.
Once you have done all steps, it's time to wash and dry the fabric. In order to make sure the paint stain is completely removed, use a gentle detergent in a cold-water wash. Do not use a hot water cycle or dryer, as this could set the stain even further and make it even more difficult to remove. After the fabric has dried, check to see if stain is still visible. If so, repeat the previous steps until stain is gone.
Removing paint stains from silk faille doesn’t have to be difficult. By following the steps outlined above, you can easily remove the stain without damaging the fabric. Just remember to be gentle when rubbing the stain with soap and using a stain remover, as too much force can cause damage.
