How to Effectively Remove Paint Stains from Chiffon Silk

What You'll Need
- White vinegar
- Baking soda
- Dish soap
- Non-bleach liquid detergent
- Soft brush
- Old toothbrush
- Lukewarm water
Steps
- Using the soft brush, gently brush off any excess paint from the fabric.
- Mix a solution of one part white vinegar and one part lukewarm water.
- Dampen a cloth or sponge with the solution and blot the area to remove any remaining paint.
- If more stubborn stains remain, mix a paste of equal parts baking soda and white vinegar.
- Apply the paste directly onto the stain.
- Using old toothbrush, rub the paste into the stain in a circular motion.
- Rinse the paste off with lukewarm water.
- Apply a small amount of dish soap directly onto the stain and let it sit for 5-10 minutes.
- Rinse the area with lukewarm water, then blot with a clean cloth or towel to dry.
- If there is still some discoloration, mix a solution of 1 teaspoon of non-bleach liquid detergent and two cups of warm water.
- Gently submerge the fabric in solution, making sure the stain is completely covered.
- Let soak for 15-20 minutes.
- Remove the garment and rinse with cold water.
- Lay the fabric flat in its natural shape to dry.
