What You'll Need
- Rubbing alcohol
- Cotton balls or old cloths
- Dish soap
- Towel
Instructions
- Mix rubbing alcohol and dish soap together in equal parts. Be sure not to let the mixture get too thick or too thin.
- Soak a cotton ball or piece of cloth in the rubbing alcohol and dish soap mixture and dab the stain with it.
- Continue to dab the stain until it starts to lighten. Be sure to rotate the cotton ball or cloth as to not spread the stain further.
- If the stain isn’t coming out, try using a little more of the rubbing alcohol and dish soap mixture.
- Once the stain has been removed, rinse the area with cold water.
- Pat the area dry with a clean towel.
Tips
- Be sure to test the rubbing alcohol and dish soap mixture on an inconspicuous area of your dress before applying it to the stain.
- Use a gentle circular motion when dabbing the stain in order to avoid spreading it.
- Avoid machine washing dress if possible; if you must, use the lowest temperature setting and a mild detergent.
