In order to clean paint stains on shantung fabric, you'll need a few simple items:
- White vinegar
- Mild liquid detergent
- Clean cloths
- Hydrogen peroxide
- Baking soda
How to Clean Paint Stains from Shantung
- Test a small area with the white vinegar to make sure it won't damage the fabric.
- Mix a small amount of liquid detergent with some warm water. Make sure that the solution isn't too hot, as this could also cause damage to the fabric.
- Dip a clean cloth in the sudsy solution and gently dab at the paint stain. Do not rub or scrub at the fabric.
- Rinse stained fabric thoroughly with warm water.
- If any of the stain remains, mix 1/2 teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide with one tablespoon of baking soda and a cup of warm water. Dab the mixture onto the stain. Allow it to sit for about 30 minutes.
