Instructions for Cleaning Paint Stains on Rayon

  • Pre-treat the stained area with mild liquid detergent, rubbing it into the fabric in a circular motion.
  • If any paint remains, dab it using a microfiber cloth dampened with a small amount of rubbing alcohol.
  • Rinse the area with cold water to remove any residue.
  • If necessary, repeat previous steps until paint is successfully removed.
  • Once the area is free of paint, soak garment in a sink filled with cool water and laundry detergent. Let it soak for one hour.
  • Rinse clothing item with cold water to remove detergent.
  • Gently press the fabric with a towel to absorb the excess moisture.
  • Lay the garment out flat and allow time for it to air dry.

Tips for Removing Paint from Rayon

  • Work as quickly as possible, as fresh paint stains on rayon fabrics are easier to remove than those that have been allowed to dry.
  • Never rub or scrub fabric too vigorously, as this can damage the delicate fibers and cause fraying.
