If you’ve recently used paint around your home or office and accidentally spilled some on your favorite purse, don’t panic. There are a few items that can help you remove the paint stain without need for a new purse. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Rubbing alcohol
  • A clean white cloth
  • A small bowl
  • Dish soap

Now that you have your supplies gathered, it’s time to start cleaning! Here are the steps you’ll need to take:

  1. Dip a clean, white cloth into the rubbing alcohol and blot the affected area.
  2. Create a mixture of 1/4 cup of warm water with a few drops of dish soap in a small bowl.
  3. Using the cloth dipped in solution, start scrubbing the spot, being careful not to scrub too hard.
  4. Once the paint starts to come off, rinse area with warm water.
  5. Once the stain has been removed, allow the area to air dry. Do not put purse in the wash or dryer.

Following these easy steps should help you remove most of the paint stain from your purse. For any stubborn paint residue, try using vinegar or baking soda in place of the rubbing alcohol or soap. If nothing is working, you can always consult a professional cleaning service.
