For small and light stains, try using a damp cloth to wipe the paint away. This should work for most latex and acrylic varieties. If stain is more stubborn, rub a small bit of baking soda onto the area, then use a damp cloth to remove the residue. Keep in mind that it won’t always be necessary to use soap or other cleaner with these methods. If you’re dealing with oil-based paints, then you may need to use a degreaser to get rid of the stain. A kitchen cleaner should do the trick, but if it doesn’t, you may want to consider using white spirit instead.

For heavier stains, you might want to try soaking your kitchen utensil in a water-vinegar mixture overnight. Add 1 cup of vinegar to a pot of warm water and let your utensils soak. You can also add a few drops of essential oil, such as lemon or lavender, for a pleasant scent. The next morning, you should be able to easily scrub off the paint with a sponge or soft brush.

You can also use certain kitchen products to remove paint stains from your kitchen utensils. White toothpaste can be effective for getting rid of light and medium-sized paint spots. Spread a little of the paste over the stained area and rub gently. Rinse with warm water to finish cleaning.

If you notice paint stains on metal kitchen utensils, then steel wool or sandpaper will usually help. Use steel wool to break down the paint's surface and then wipe away with a damp cloth. Sandpaper can also be used but should be handled with care, as too much friction can scratch the surface.

Finally, remember that prevention is better than cure. To ensure paint stains don’t become a problem in the first place, keep your kitchen utensils away from paint while it is wet. Don’t forget to take the proper safety precautions when working with paint or other hazardous materials.
