Using a small brush or a cotton swab, gently dab a small amount of dishwashing liquid onto paint stain. Allow a few minutes for solution to break down the paint.
Run lukewarm water over the stained area, continuing to massage the dishwashing liquid into the fabric. The paint should start to come off in small particles, which you can rinse away in the running water.
Once all of the paint has been removed, place the garment in a washing machine on a gentle cycle with cold water, using a mild detergent. Line dry or lay flat to air dry.
Removing paint stains from a kimono can seem daunting, but with a few simple steps, you can get your garment looking good as new! For tougher stains, you may need to repeat these steps several times, or use professional dry cleaning services.
