Oil Paint

  • Put the stained area under running warm water from the back side to loosen the stain.
  • Gently rub stain with a wet cloth and some laundry detergent.
  • If that doesn’t work, you can also use a spot remover like a pre-wash spray.
  • If all else fails, take the jacket to a professional laundry service.

Latex Paint

  • Put some rubbing alcohol on a cloth and dab stained area gently.
  • You can also use white vinegar mixed with a little baking soda and warm water if you don’t have rubbing alcohol.
  • After a few minutes, use a fresh cloth with some cold water to remove the remaining paint.
  • You can use liquid dish soap and wash the garment with warm water.
  • Finally, rinse garment with cold water and let it dry.
