If the paint is still wet, act quickly before it has time to settle and dry. Grab a damp cloth or paper towel and blot the paint stain with it. Do not rub or scrub the stain as this will only spread the paint further. It is also important not to use too much water, as this could damage the material and set the stain in.
If the stain has had time to dry, use a mild liquid detergent and a soft brush to scrub the paint off. Make sure you do not use a brush that is too harsh, as this could damage the fabric of hoodie. Once you have worked the detergent into stained area, rinse the hoodie in cold water. If any traces of the stain remain, repeat scrubbing process.
If the paint stain still won't come off, try using a commercial paint-removing product. Read instructions carefully, and make sure the product is safe for the type of fabric your hoodie is made of. Apply product to the stained area and follow instructions included.
Once you have finished cleaning the paint stain, let the hoodie air-dry or tumble dry it on low heat. This will ensure that all of the paint has been completely removed.
Cleaning paint stains from your hoodie isn't as hard as it might seem. With right materials and techniques, you can easily get that paint off and save your favorite hoodie from being thrown away.
