Removing Paint from Hats
Getting paint off of your hat is easier than you think! All you need are a few items you probably already have at home.
Steps
- Prepare a solution of one tablespoon white vinegar and one cup warm water. Dunk the stained part of the hat into the solution. Let it sit for about 10 minutes.
- Gently scrub the stained area with a soft-bristled brush. Avoid using a hard bristle brush or a scouring pad as it may cause damage to the fabric.
- Rinse the hat under cold water and let it air-dry.
- You can repeat steps 1-3 if the paint stain is still visible.
Removing Dried Paint from Hats
If the paint stain is dried, here’s what you do:
Steps
- Apply a small amount of rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover to a soft cloth and dab it onto stain.
- Using a clean cloth, blot the area and keep turning cloth to an unused part as the stain transfers to the cloth.
- Rinse the hat with cold water.
- Let hat air-dry.
- Repeat steps if the stain persists.
