Step 1: Gather the Supplies

  • Bucket
  • Dish soap
  • Old toothbrush
  • White vinegar

Step 2: Soak It

Fill the bucket with warm water and add a couple of drops of dish soap. Put the flip flops in the bucket and let them sit for at least an hour.

Step 3: Scrub It

After soaking the flip flops, use an old toothbrush or a soft-bristled brush to scrub off the stubborn paint stains. Make sure to be gentle and not rub too hard so as not to damage the material.

Step 4: Rinse It

Rinse the flip flops with warm water. This will remove any of the remaining soap residue.

Step 5: Vinegar Wash

Add a quarter cup of white vinegar to the bucket and fill it with enough warm water to cover the flip flops. Allow the flip flops to soak for another hour. The vinegar helps to break down the paint and makes it easier to remove.

Step 6: Repeat Scrubbing

Once again, use an old toothbrush or a soft-bristled brush to scrub off the paint stains. This time it should come off more easily.

Step 7: Final Rinse

Rinse off the flip flops with warm water one last time and then let them air dry.

Conclusion

With a bit of effort and the right supplies, you can get rid of paint stains from your flip flops and restore them to like-new condition. Now you can enjoy wearing them again!
