Before starting, make sure Duke lace is soaking wet and then saturate it with a mixture of a few drops of laundry detergent and a cup of white vinegar in warm water. The application should be done gently using a soft cloth or brush so as not to disturb the pattern of the fabric. Leave the lace soaking for around 30 minutes for best results.
Once this time has passed, gently dab stain with a damp cloth and a small amount of alcohol. This will help dissolve the paint and make it much easier to remove. Alternatively, you can rub the stained area with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.
Afterwards, rinse the area with warm water and blot away any excess liquid and paint residue with a dry piece of cloth or paper towel. Repeat this process until all traces of paint have been removed. Finally, let the lace dry naturally or in a cool area.
For more stubborn paint stains, try repeating the process mentioned above and applying a small amount of liquid detergent directly to the stain. Gently work it into the fabric and let it soak for 10 minutes before rinsing it off. For greater success, you can use an old toothbrush to remove any last bits of paint.
