Things You'll Need

  • White vinegar
  • Baking soda
  • Old toothbrush
  • Liquid laundry detergent
  • A sponge

Step 1: Scrape Off Any Excess Paint

Using a butter knife or another dull utensil, scrape off as much of the paint as possible. This should remove the paint from surface of the fabric, which will make it easier to clean.

Step 2: Dilute White Vinegar

In a bowl, mix together equal parts white vinegar and warm water. Dip a clean cloth in the solution, then dab the stained area. The solution should help break down the paint so it's easier to remove.

Step 3: Add Baking Soda

Sprinkle baking soda over the affected area. Gently rub it into the fabric using an old toothbrush. This should help lift the stain from the fabric.

Step 4: Wash with Detergent

Mix a small amount of liquid laundry detergent with some warm water, then use a sponge to scrub area. Rinse away soap residue with clean, warm water.

Step 5: Air Dry

Allow the area to air dry completely, then take a look at the results. If stain is still visible, repeat steps 1-4 as needed.
