Step-by-Step Guide on How to Clean Paint Stains from Cotton

  1. The most important step is to act fast. Gently scrape off any excess paint from cotton fabric.
  2. Rub liquid dish soap into the stain, then rinse the area with water.
  3. If stain remains, apply a good amount of rubbing alcohol to the fabric and scrub lightly with a brush.
  4. Soak the fabric in a solution of white vinegar and cold water for 3-4 hours.
  5. Rinse fabric with cold water.
  6. If the stain is still visible, mix a tablespoon of baking soda in 1/2 cup of warm water. Apply this mixture to the stained area. Leave it on for 15 minutes before washing in the machine with laundry detergent.
  7. Let the garment air dry. Once fully dry, inspect if the stain is still visible. If so, repeat until the stain is gone.

And just like that, you can clean paint stains from cotton! When it comes to removing paint stains, it's all about acting quickly and using right solutions to get the job done.
